    I have both.

    repair is in Win7 64bit Home Premium and
    win 7 install is the 64bit Ultimate DVD's

    Perform a startup repair 3 times with reboots in between Startup Repair
    Post bcdedit output again afterwards

    Delete the FAT16 partition as well....it's useless (used by RECOVERY partition... which is gone). Now you have only 1 partition called OS.

    Are you using SSD and Harddisk at the same time later? It isn't possible to attach both to laptop at the same time as far as I know(?)

    can't find repair disc, but have win7 Ultimate install discs

    I do have a Dell DataSafe Local Backup System Recovery USB and a Dell Drivers and Utilities DVD that came with the laptop

    now, more reading

    Don't use that!! Boot from install DVD
