    Hi gamefan1,

    1. Please check if the Dell Webcam is getting detected in 'Device Manager'. You may find the following steps useful:
    - Click 'Start' icon
    - Type 'devmgmt.msc' (without quotations) in 'Search Programs and Files' text-box and tap < Enter > (Device Manager page opens up)
    - Locate and expand 'Imaging Devices' category
    - Check if 'Dell Webcam' shows up in this category
    - If yes, try installing the web cam application; please follow the steps listed below to install the 'Dell Webcam software':
    - Click the link Driver Details | Dell United States
    - Save the file on 'Desktop screen'
    - Right click on the file, choose ‘Run as Administrator’ (choose ‘Yes’ when prompted)
    - Follow the on screen instructions to install the software

    2. If 'Dell Webcam' does not show up underneath 'Device Manager' category, try updating 'BIOS' to see if that works. To install 'BIOS' click Support for Enterprise IT Users | Dell US > Enter 'Service Tag' > Filter the 'Search Results' with the 'Operating System' installed > Download and install 'BIOS' > Recheck the 'webcam'
Note: Before flashing the BIOS please check the following: Battery should have 10% or greater charge; Adapter should be connected; No external devices should be connected; All other programs should be closed and documents saved.

    3. If 'Webcam' is still not detected in 'Device Manager', locate 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' category and expand it
    - Right click and uninstall 'USB Root Hubs' listed underneath this category
    - Restart your computer and Windows will re-install all USB controllers automatically
    - Recheck the webcam performance

    4. If the issue persists, gently press the 'LCD Bezel' around the webcam on all sides to check for any loose connection (Check 'Device Manager' if it appears under 'Imaging Devices')

Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions. I would be glad to assist.
