    Really don't need a serial number, but is there any HP MODEL number indicated anywhere like on the case, (back, side, Bottom, Front) ?

    EDIT: In your 2nd pic of the Bios setup, Is that Boot Tab the only option Tab that shows. No other tabs that show CPU, Memory, Date, Time, HD's, etc ?

    Any other pics you can come up with might give us a clue.

    You probably didn't make any recovery Discs when you first got this computer, did you ?

    No, ive only had it for 2 months, it was already old when I got it. I got some for a windows 7 computer but now it wont even boot. (The power swirch wont light up, there is nothing going to my monitor)

    when the computer starts up I hear the fans come on I hear the hard drive boot up and I hear the disk drive boot up and nothing else happens
