    Upgrading My PC.... Need Suggestions.

    Built my current PC in August of 2011. Last week i went to Microcenter and upgraded from 12gb of ram to 16gb, Bought a new SSD and New 780w PSU.

    Here are my before and after specs;

    Before;
    Mobo - MSI 870 G45
    CPU: Phenom x4 955
    RAM: 12GB DDR3-1600MHz
    GPU: AMD Radeon HD6670 GDDR5 1 GB
    HDD: Western Digital WD Blue WD5000AAKS
    PSU: Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus RS500-PCARD3 500-Watt

    After;

    Mobo - Same
    CPU - Same
    Ram - 16GB DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz
    GPU - Same
    HDD - Same
    SSD - Intel 520 120gb
    PSU - OCZ ModXStream OCZ780MXS 780W

    So, After last weeks SSD and Ram and PSU upgrade i'm looking to upgrade the rest of my system... What i'm asking for is any tips on upgrades or, suggestions on do i actually need to upgrade anything at all.... The only thing i'm probably not wanting to upgrade is the MOBO since it's probably a hassle and a half.

    Thanks ahead of time.

    magepker,
    Here's the list of supported CPU's for the mobo. I would jump on the fastest 6 core like this one, search for the 1100T if possible while supplies last, please note your bios and potentally needed updates and prefrom same before installing the upgrade CPU. Will the rig be wickedly faster ...doubtful, but faster it will be on complex tasks. Other then maximizing the the CPU potential, your may well want to save and plan on a new mobo and CPU and yes it's a lot of work but it's satisfying work that you'll learn and grow from and we're here to help you with if needed.

    Shop for this bad boy and grab it if deeply discounted.
    Amazon.com: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Processor, Black Edition (HDE00ZFBGRBOX): Electronics
    Then consider a premium CPU cooler as well if you later plan to maximize it's potential with a modest overclock?
