I dont know crap about ssd's so here goes , If i add a ssd install windows on it do i need at add all drivers to it , dvd drive ,nvidia driver ,motherboard drivers, to it
and I have games on the 1 tb hdd can i still play them or do i need to move or redownload them to the ssd? any suggestions as to size and brand of ssd would be good?
Yes Yes Yes you need to do all that, just keep running windows update until there are no more updates left to install. Get you graphics card drivers directly from amd.com or nvidia.com, unless you have a different manufacturer.
nvidia is geforce and amd is radeon
You will have to install your games on the ssd for the speed. A ssdrive is all about speed.
As AddRAM says ate go for it but use this first before the install.

Performance is rated at top of the heap at the present time. Toms Hardware ran a bunch of benchmarks on the most popular drives and the Samsung Pro 840 was rated 1st or 2nd more times than not.
Opening programs, shutting down and rebooting, is lightning fast. I reboot from shutdown to back to desktop in 19 seconds. QUICK!

I get zero hesitation and literally zero waiting no matter what application I am launching. When I install or uninstall a program...Boom. Done.
Installing Windows 7 on a bare SSD from a USB stick took about 5 minutes from start until you are sitting at the desktop ready to work. Try that with a conventional HDD. Might be able to read the paper, do a sudoku, take a leak and boil yourself a cup of tea.
Don't make assumptions just because someone disagrees with you, it comes off as extremely arrogant.
I prefer not to bloat my SSD with crap that doesn't need it. Yes, I'll put very intense games on it, but it doesn't need it.
I can play Skyrim on maximum settings with >40 mods, a lot of which are HD textures and lighting, and it's on my HDD. Wait 3-5 seconds when changing areas.
Typically, the OS and programs on the SSD and data on another drive to save space. As far as games, games will load faster if installed on the SSD, but the game play is the same. The only advantage for 99% of games is the time it takes to load them. There is no performance gain by having them installed on the SSD.
It is true that games would open faster on an SSD, but I also install them to my D drive, which is a fast HDD. Since it has no affect on in-game performance, I'm fine with waiting a little longer for them to load.
My OS and all other applications go on the SSD.
