Best Value for money CPU available? (UK)

    Hey,

I'm looking to replace the stock CPU fan on my new computer as it just goes crazy whenever I try to do anything tasking to the point where it starts to buzz sometimes. I'm not looking for anything particularly fancy, but just a quiet and efficient CPU for a good price. I've looked around some already at stuff like the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 or Cooler Master Hyper TX3 but I just need some opinion really.

    Any help appreciated, thanks :)

Edit: Oh, I should probably mention it's a screw in slot for an AMD CPU. Yeah, that'd be pretty helpful huh?

Oh, you want to replace the CPU fan.

Yeah, the Hyper 212 is the best bang for the buck.

I have two Hyper 212s that worked great when I used them. They both sit on a shelf in favor of a water cooled setup, but as far as air coolers go, they are near the top in performance, and quite cheap, too.

I'm not sure what you mean by a screw in slot for an AMD. Post the socket you have and that will help people give you answers on the CPU.

Probably the stock mounting pins for AMD processors with the two plastic shrouds and 4 big screws common all through AM2 and FM sockets.

Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus, or the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo.........the Evo pushes a little more air, but is also a few dollars more. Anyway, either of them have thousands of reviews and almost all of them say the same thing.....best bang for the buck. Also, do you have any thermal paste?
