Help with EC and PCIE cards

hi so i have a dell studio 1458 laptop. now i have a Express Card (EC) on it and in the manual says that it can do all kool things like wifi cards and what not. however in the manual, it also says *not compatable with PC cards* however im trying to do this:

External Graphics Card - Add a eGPU video card to your laptop PE4H PE4L - YouTube

so i can play nice games and what not. but that is calling for a PCI express slot. what i have, is it an PCI express slot, and will that work with that PE4H adapter? or no cause it just can support PCI express since the manual says. i figured id ask B/C its an adapter.

I can't imagine that actually working, or why anyone would want to have exposed components and a power supply sitting around. Why not just have a desktop for gaming, considering that isn't a portable solution anyway?

Simply put, if you want to play the latest games, a laptop isn't the way to go unless you drop some serious coin. That's the trade off you agree to with a laptop, in exchange for portability.

ive seen it work on multiple laptops, and theres even housings on the market for it to work. so it can be done. and yea i know it will no long be portable, however all i have to do on my laptop is disconnect the PCI and im off. also i havent bought a Desk top because i live in an apartment, and have no room nor do i have enough money to buy or build a desktop computer. so this i smy next best option.
