Dazzle 100 plug and play problem

I have a dazzle 100, which should work on my win 7 pro 64 bit laptop with the driver I have downloaded, BUT the Plug & Play system insists that it is a Dazzle 90, which has no win 7 driver - and so does not load the 64 bit driver! I have contacted Corel support, who gave no help at all. Any ideas? I can of course use the XP driver in virtual XP mode, but then frames are dropped.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

I have a Dazzle 100 also, I haven't used it in quite a while, but I think contacting Corel is the wrong place. Pinnacle is the supplier of the software and drivers look at the link below and see if it will help you I believe that is what I used.

Pinnacle Systems - Product Support - Instant DVD Recorder - Download Area - Drivers - Updates

    Dazzle 100 becoming a 90

thanks for the reply Jerry - I did start on the Pinnacle site, which is where I got the 64 bit driver, but my problem is that win7 insists I have a daxzzle 90 - so wont load the driver. Corel now own Pinnacle, and hence I was directed to their support...The latest suggestion from them is to uninstall their Studio software, and then use a download to remove corruption that it may have caused to the registry(!!). This did not work of course.
I take it the knowledgeable Pinnacle staff all left at take over?

I see why you contacted Corel now.
What did they give you to uninstall it?
Do you have a another computer you could try it on and see?
You could try Revo uninstaller pro it has a 30 day free trial and see if it can remove everything it cleans up files and registry during the uninstall process.

I'm not sure if I can be of much more help.

    dazzle 100 problem

    jerry
I have the second dazzle, the red one with a yellow flower on it,

have tried the Corel suggestions without success of course, and the Microsot forum says it is down to the dazzle software.... I wonder if a flash update is possible or needed - or even available, I can;t find anything on the corel download site!
