    maybe its the marvill controler is has a issue with, my sata 3 6gb is on a marvill controler

    Have to say that I had to Google "marvill controler" to find out what it was so am a bit lost here. There does seem to b an lot of info on the net regarding this controller, perhaps if no one more learned than me reads this thread in the next 24 hours it might be as well to go to Intell as i suggested earlier. Obviously they would need to have your mobo details.

    Well if it is of any help to you blokes the Marvell controllers are regarded as better than the Sandforce ones at least and this is some info for you on them:).

    Just a thought but maybe OCIR you might just have a dodgy drive mate.

    I don't have a Marvell controller so I don't "need" a tool box for my SSD. :)

    I whent buy platform windows 7 I dont know what all the part numbers are, should i just download the windows setup installer dated 3/27/12 /?
    dogy drive as in ssd or driver / I boot from startscreen to desktop in 13sec,/ whats a good whay to test speed

    Do you have your tool box program installed on another drive. The only time your
    problem has happened to me is when I installed the wrong tool box or I was using Marvell
    SATA III. I use Intel SATA II.

    the marvill is the sata III port my intells are sataII ports so i hooked up the ssd to the marvill sata III port to get the sataIII 6gb's speed was I wrong in doing this?

    That is exactly the same problem I had. Install your SSD in the SATA II and
    give that a try. It seems like Marvell, Asus and Intel SSD don't get along.

    SATA II ICH10R vs. SATA III Marvel 9128 Controllers - Windows Enterprise Desktop this looks like the prob i have
    So I can just log off and move the ssd plug from a sataIII port to a sata II port?
    And l can juse leave the storage hdd on the sata III port
