Cannot shrink external disk although there's space
I have a 500GB external hard disk. I've already shrink in once to create 3 volume, about 250GB, 150GB & 100GB.
I tried to shrink the disk further, ie the first 250GB, after moving some data to the other 2 volume. Although I've 220GB now on the first volume, I'm not able to shrink it down further. It shows I can only shrink down by 8GB when I use the windows disk management tools. Please advise how to rectify this issue. |

How do I increase available shrink space on C? I just bought a new Alienware m18x computer, and it's partitioned into three sections, as seen in this screenshot. The thing is, I want to split it into 4 partitions: OS (150GB), Data (250GB), DATA2 (300GB), DATA3 (300GB), though if DATA2 and DATA3 were one partition, that would be fine. ... |

Loss of disk space on Samsung external 1TB drive after 'clean up' I know about the immediate 'loss' of disk space owing to the two different methods of measurement. 1Tb to 931Gb - it's annoying, but I'm used to it. No, before a defrag by Fixbee I had 701Gb free, afterwards - in a matter of 2 hours - I had 537Gb. Obviously, I'm not going to use this product... |

Cannot shrink any more space... When I have lots of space left. I have a partition set at 237 GB. I have 161 GB of free space left and want to move more out of the partition. But it would not let me move more out. Is this a bug or something? |
