Your screenshot is from the first execution of the program. You must now run it a second time - after your CPU has been idle for about 20 seconds - to get your results. You generally don't have to do anything to invoke trim before running it a second time. C'mon, man!
This program is definitely barebones with no GUI, but, it works.
Things to keep in mind. Trim might not be (meaning, by design) invoked until the controller sees some number (%) of dirty pages that need to be trimmed. Or, as would be expected, trim background tasks take the lowest priority over other "real" I/Os.
