    Missing Hard Drive

I just reformatted my computer and discovered that its only showing one hard drive (see screenshot). I have two Seagate HDDs, but I think Windows used one for the system reserved files. Before I reformatted I always had two HDDs showing my my computer, but now there's just the one (C drive).

If anyone can help me fix this I would appreciate it. Thanks!

When you reinstalled Windows did you unplug the second hard drive?

When you're installing Windows you want just 1 drive to be connected unless you're doing a RAID which by the looks of it you're not.

Hi VK. No, both HDDs were connected when I reformatted.

That is why windows created System Reserved partition on 1 drive and installed Windows another drive.

I would format disk 1 and then unplug it so it won't have system reserved partition when you reinstall Windows. If you're planning on reinstall Windows again.

Lol...well, reformatting is not something that's ever planned—if you know what I mean. My system had been getting sluggish for a while and then I got CS6. Plus its Saturday and I was bored out of my tree. All these things came together and viola!—good time to reformat :)
