    Possible Hardware problem, error 3d

Hello, I've been back and forth with my pc for the past several weeks. Luckily, my pc doesn't crash as much but I get this error from time to time. I usually crash when I'm using the internet. I have a feeling that this is hardware related because when I updated my realtek network drivers everything was ok, Dead Space ran fine, I was able to do anything I needed and wanted on my pc, etc.

Hiyya Bortelli suppose you have done all the usual stuff like reseating all the plug hardwares including the PSU cables mate?

Next thing is how are the temps if you haven't checked them try this Speccy - Download < from piriform

    and this
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool < you will need to make a bootable disk for this set the boot to optical and let it run for at least 8 passes.

These are the simplest things so far and sorry if they seem rather ruddy obvious. But it will eliminate some causes.

Hey sorry about the late reply. Anyways I did run memtest. I ran through at least 6 passes, no errors. So ram is definitely not the problem. I did recieve some errors when I was playing Arma III, but since it is alpha I do expect bugs, anyways take a look.

Still having random crashes with my computer. I think its my drivers I am not entirely sure. Sometimes it blames my network drivers. I was thinking of getting a new motherboard, I dont know if that would help at all really. Also, some people suggested that I get a new psu.

    Hi,

Although you have attached the dmp files, we need a few more to help. Please run this tool, then upload the information as before:

bortelli, scan the system for possible virus infection.

Your crashes are all different to the others, and the overall pattern suspects either a virus infection or might be some hardware failure, but my initial suspect is a virus/malware/rootlit.

You may observe that one of the crashes indicating to the network driver, but that is not very backdated at all still you may search for any available updates in Realtek

..... and there are other common evidences of infection.

Also update your ATI/AMD display driver.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

If the issue persists after doing these three (specially after the virus scans), next time when you will upload the crash dumps, upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

    1. Click on the start button
    2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
    3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
    4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
    5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

Thanks I ran memtest again, Still no errors, just running the test again to confirm my ram is ok. The reason I have suspicision that my psu and/or my motherboard is to blame is that my psu is a discontinued product, as well as my motherboard. Also, my motherboard hasnt received a bios update since 2011. This concerns me because As I was looking through the GPU compatibility list for this motherboard, I realized that it doesnt support my 6950.

Arc, funny you mentioned installing the Display Driver only, becuase I'm using the Display Driver only and I still crash!
I've used Windows Defender Offline and recieved no errors. Currently I am on 13.1 Drivers.

My pc crashed today, really sad :/

Arc, here is the .nfo file you wanted. I used the following programs you provided to check for viruses, none appeared.

The display driver is still not the latest WHQL.
    Code:
    fffff880`07067000 fffff880`07b7d000 atikmdag T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: atikmdag.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmdag.sys
        Image name: atikmdag.sys
        Timestamp: Thu Dec 20 02:08:55 2012 (50D225DF)

        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
    Care to update it?

The MSINFO32.nfo we wanted. You uploaded msinfo.exe. We need the .nfo file only, no exe. Coz, executing the .exe I will get "my" msinfo only, not your.
