How do I check how many slots my motherboard have?
You can take the side cover off of the case & look or download CPU-Z run it & look at the memory & spd tabs

Done, all my spec information is attached. Thank you guys for spending the time to help me.
From the file you have attached, it appears I was correct in thinking its a 1366 socket motherboard.
So I stand by what I said in my 1st post.
Paul.
Paul do you have any link to good deals?
First off our Forum rules.
2) No useless posts, e.g., thread bumping, useless one liners, junk posting to increase post count, and identical multi-postings in different forums.
My next suggestion would to get a copy of your motherboard manual. It will tell you lots of needed information. Concerning ram it will tell you the ram it supports and the proper position to install them.
One should have a motherboard manual for every motherboard they have. It's priceless but yet still free.

How about a screen snip of your Mainboard tab from CPU-Z
Memory, Desktop Memory, Computer Memory - Newegg.com
Here is your motherboard - 4VWF2 MS-7591 Motherboard | Dell 4VWF2 Alienware Aurora Alx Board
It also shows the amounts of ram and speed of ram you can put in it.
I cannot however find any information on Supported Ram but I expect most brands will work.
As I said before, ditch the old ram and look for either a 6GB or 12GB triple channel kit, 1600mhz speed will be fine.
