Power Saving for USB 3.0 Mass Storage Device (On/Off charge)

    Hello!

I have this problem, I occasionally use my USB 3.0 disk drive, and I'd really prefer not to plug it in and out every time I want to use it. But problem is, the disk is running at all times, and even when computer is off, I want it to automatically shut off when not in use. (I have Gigabyte On/Off Charge feature, basically all USB devices get power at any PC power state, if only there is power from the power supply)

I really need help to find where I can set that, but mind that I have a wireless mouse, which used to suffer because of the USB suspend option, it was sometimes disconnecting for a second or so, like lagging.

I am not even sure where to start, so any help would be appreciated, thanks.

My external HDD enclosure has a power switch...i believe this is the only way you could do this...no Windows setting i know of will with a USB device.

Oh, that's too bad. Thanks for the reply. But, that would make sense, if only there wouldn't be an option - Allow windows to turn off USB devices to save power. So that proves that there is a way... :/

As I said before I have disabled this feature, because my Logitech wireless device was losing connection because of this. I want some help to find if there is a way to turn on this feature only for 1 USB (3.0) port.
