Help finding A/C power for laptop

Hello fellow SevenForumers, the laptop of my family needs a new A/C unit since it's all screwed up in various ways and has to have a spark eject from the cable to make the bugger work. I need to find a new cable for it, the model of the laptop is an ASUS P50IJ.
I have searched around and have been unsuccessful thus far and am unsure if I'm finding the right hardware.

Link of Laptop on Manufacture page: http://www.asus.com/Commercial_Notebook/P50IJ/

    Many thanks!

Ignore the laptop. Look at the bottom of the charger and write down the key specs:

    • Voltage output
    • Amperage Output
    • Model Number

Then pay attention to the connector - the part that goes into the laptop. There are different types. The better brands are color coded.

Then web search the aftermarket sites for a replacement that matches those specs exactly. The model number will be listed in the compatibility list in some cases.

Sometimes you can get lucky and find an exact model number replacement.
