It sounds like the hard drive is not connected. This could be that it has failed, has come loose from it's connector, or is not receiving power.
First, can you check in the BIOS settings to see if the hard drive shows up there? (If yes, then skip the second thing and post back). Second, can you open up the hard drive bay and re-seat the hard drive? |

it is definitely hardware problem. My suggestion is to remove all your hardware and and when you plug in one by one, you do re-boot each time.

I would suggest you download the hard drive maker's diagnostic tool and run it. Samsung usually uses Hitachi hard drives, but yours may be different.

Samsung Laptop not booting
Hello every one,
I'm just posting this reply to help others who are having the same problem but still didn't get any solution. Believe it or not, it's easy as 1 2 3. I had that problem with the same laptop for a customer of mine. It was stuck on rebooting after SAMSUNG logo screen. Tried going inside Bios by hitting F2 but not bootable devices detected. After reading countless thread, I decided to try all the keys that are NOT related to bios, recovery or Booting devices. Here's what happened: For installing Windows 7, we need to disable Secure boot inside Bios, put the Operating System to CSM without forgetting the AHCI. Doing that, the laptop was still not recognizing any HDDs or DVDs. I have the Windows 7 pro DVD inside the drive and by hitting F3, yes guys, F3 button on startup, it forced the DVD to start and installed Windows normally. The only problem was that I had to press F3 on every startup until Windows finished installing. I then downloaded the updated Bios from Samsung website, run it and VOILA, every thing was in order, Bios was normal again with ALL the bootable devices visible. Hope people can get help from that... |
