    Thanks for the suggestion. My router is "selectable," and I'll be staying with it as I see no need to get another one that is "simultaneous."

    Might as well finish up this post with good news. My wife's iPad4 still was going in and out of connection at various times during the day and night, so I had to bite the bullet and try to update from 1.0.03 to 1.0.05. I did have some concern that this jump in updating might be problematic. I did the update through Linksys' site without any problems. Presently the iPad and the iPhone are well connected to the wi-fi, but I'll have to wait a bit to see if there is any fluctuation in the connection...
