compactflash SSD cannot be accessed from iPod.

i had just finished writing out a VERY long and detailed post explaining my problem in depth sparing no details whatsoever and including screenshots to just about everything, explaining all of the solutions I've tried and every error that came with them, every last thing i could possibly think of, when i accidentally closed the tab and all of that work was gone, so forgive me please if i seem a bit upset and lack detail in my op.

basically my problem is that my computer does not allow me to access my compact flash drive through my iPod, but when i put it in directly it does, but then i cannot install iPod software on it, making it useless. the adapters and the compact flash drives are in perfect working order. i cannot access the drives without major lag, and when i finally do, the computer gives me wrong details, such as 0 data out of 0 data available, or 1794.40 GB unallocated space, when the drive is only 32 GB.

i have tried formatting, through command line as well, hard resetting the iPod, formatting through disk management too. im willing to try any and all solutions, that do not involve me buying any more hardware, as these things put me back far enough. please ask questions, i will be here all day.
