    Time for a fresh install?

Hey folks. I've been having some issues trying to get a new keyboard up and running. Never thought something as simple as a keyboard could give me such frustration.

As you can see, I've gone through several attempts at fixing this, but everything ends up with me using my old, champagne covered keyboard.
What I'm thinking is I grab my install disc and start from scratch. Backup isn't a worry, but would this do anything? Thanks for any suggestions.
I should also say that it's about time I did a fresh install anyway. Lots of crap floating around my system.

it looks like a win-win situation.

You perform the clean install< You get a fresh new installation without any little bugs and problems, plus your keyboard might work.

You perform the clean install< Keyboard still doesn't work.

    Either way you will win.
