Bad Mobo? Abit IP35v content.
Hello again all, ltnp.
I have an abit IP35v mobo that has been working flawlessly for close to 4 years now, but after a brief power outage, it refuses to boot normally. I get 1 long 2 short beeps at post. After some research, it seems to be a video card issue. I put the card (Zotac GF GT220) in another machine, and it works fine. I also tried a PCI card I have kicking around, and that works fine, more or less, given it's age & specs.
I had to rebuild an old XP machine just to get back in business.
I found abit's own forum, but can't register for some reason. (I get to the end of the registration form, and I get an anti-spam question not answered error, even though I have "no" in the question box. ) But that's a different issue.
Is the mobo shot? (I think it may be) or should I try another PCI-e video card first?
Thoughts/advise please. I'd really like to get my main rig back, I'm missing my 7.
