Sony Vaio - SD card reader not working after Win 7 re-install

    Hey guys,

I slung an SSD drive into the laptop a couple of months ago but after installing everything else without an issue, the SD card slots aren't working.
Frustrating as I've got some work I need from my SD cards onto the laptop

My laptop is a Sony Vaio VPCF11Z1E, running Win 7 & all up-to-date.
I found the drivers on the sony site (Sony : VPCF11Z1E/BI updates | Download updates for VPCF11Z1E/BI) but each time I've unistalled the default drivers it doesn't seem to let install the ones I downloaded (via the device manager). If I try to update it, win7 seems to be a smart arse and not allow me to use the drivers I want.

Any help would be much appreciated, I think this is the only time since about '96 I've had this issue)

    Temp work around:
Sling cards into gopro - and hook up via USB, heh.

    Hi RobF50,

Please let me know what happen when you try to install the driver directly or updating from the device manager.
