If you want to get the printer from an XP machine and install it to a Seven PC, do this:
    • Disconnect the printer from the XP computer
    • Connect it to Windows 7 computer
    • Download and install correct drivers from manufacturer's site

Or do you mean you want to share the XP's printer so that Windows 7 PC can print to it? In that case read this Microsoft article: Sharing files and printers with different versions of Windows - Microsoft Windows Help

There's no such thing as migrating a printer. What you are asking doesn't make sense. If you want to install the printer on Windows 7, first make sure it is compatible and download the drivers. Then follow the instructions for installing it on Windows 7.

I wanted to do this with my ancient (2001) HP Deskjet 632C. It works fine with XP because there are XP drivers, but no amount of fiddling or compatibility adjustment or virtual machining with XP within Win 7 will allow it to work.
