    Unknown device (Device Manager)

Hello. I have two unknown devices listed in Device Manager. The devices don't show Hardware IDs in drop-down list. I've attached a txt file with:

    • DevNode status
    • Device Instance path
    • Class Long Name
    • Class Short Name
    • Class icon path
    • siblings
    • parent

Could someone please help? Thank you.

    To find unknown devices:

    Step 1:

    • Go into Device Manager and right click on the unknown device > Properties
    • Go to the Details Tab
    • Under Property > down arrow > select: Hardware IDs
    • One the first line you need to write down the VEN and DEV codes. These are always 4 character codes that come after the underscore (x3&rDEV_CODE)

    Step 2:

This should give you enough info to determine what the mystery device is.

EDIT: This was posted before the OP edited their first post.

Have you ever installed Kingsoft Antivirus....

Both Kusbgaurd and kdhacker are both part of the Kingsoft antivirus and Internet security filter driver ... The reason you are seeing it there is because you didnt uninstall it properly..

try using revo uninstaller or iobit uninstaller to completely remove the Kingsoft antivirus ... files, registry entry and filter drivers.

Please use Microsoft Security essential for your antivirus need... it is free and light on the system and what we recommend to most of people here .

Oh, I installed Kingsoft Antivirus by accident. It was uninstalled a few months ago. I have Renovo Uninstaller on my PC. How do I remove traces of the antivirus with Renovo?

Thanks for your advice. I will use MS Security Essentials for anti-virus needs. Could you please recommend other programs to complement MS Security Essentials? I'm using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware & AntiLogger Free.

There are some ways to do it since you have already uninstalled it.

If you check revo.. you will have an option for "Forced Uninstall." ... select that and then point it to the directory in your Program files pointing to the Kingsoft Antivirus folder. then click on next and it would go from there .....

or you could run Autoruns and then click on File> Save.. Save the file in .arn format and upload here. I Will have a look and i will advice you how to go ahead...

Malware Byte is good complement to the MSE. you can use it..
