Power led won't turn on

Well the HD led did turn on, it was just that it was not placed where it should be (it was inside the case).

So, getting to the point, I installed a new mobo. An Asrock N68-VS3 FX.
I installed the power led pins to where the manual says. There are two cables with one pin each coming from the case, one is power led (+) and the other one power led (-). I followed the manual's instructions and it doesn't light up. I changed them just in case, didn't work. I also tried connecting them in a different way (in the correct pin place).

Hi RonAshman,

I believe it might the be the LED at fault only. If the LED in the next to the power button you should try replacing the power button assembly itself to get this issue fixed.

Hope it helps.

Try temporarily swapping the HDD and Power LEDs over. That should indicate whether you have an LED fault, or if there is no power to it.

It's quite complcated to get there. It's not a common led light, it's a big one that lights up some words in the front of the case.

Anyway... I'll see if I dare. If not, I just installed this new system for free for a friend, so that should be enough :P
I just wanted to know if I was maybe missing something in the connection.

I understand it would be a hassle to change the LED. As, you have exhausted all the options this was the only one left.
