Looking for an All-in-One Touchscreen for the kitchen

I've been looking for a small, all-in-one machine with a touchscreen for the kitchen. Just to pull up internet for recipes and news and to stream my mp3 collection on the network. I've got a swing arm mount to fit it on and didn't want a keyboard cluttering stuff up.
I saw this one and it's gotten good reviews and seems like a great price. Just looking for any information. Thought I could get it, with a soundbar to mount on the wall behind it. Any thoughts or suggestions on a unit I may not have seen? Thanks!

If you are using it for the internet and music then all you need is something basic. The one you chose should be perfect for your needs. I don't think you can find a new all-in-one PC for much cheaper than that. One thing I would recommend though is buying a used or refurbished computer. They typically come with a warranty and are much cheaper than buying a new computer.

For example this computer is cheaper than the Asus that you posted and is much more powerful.

The best places to find refurbished computers would be newegg.com and woot.com, that is if you have access to those websites.

I hope this helped and let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks for the reply. I'll dig around and look at the refurbs. The one you pointed out isn't touch screen. That was the good thing about the Asus. I figured then, it wouldn't take up counter space with a keyboard\mouse.

What type of price range are you looking at? Also what OS do your want on it Windows 8 or 7? I know of lots of all in one computer I would just like the price range we are looking at.

Windows 7 would be fine, it's what all the other machines in the house are. Price range would be cheap. :) Really, I wouldn't mind paying a little more than the one I listed for a bit bigger screen, I'm just doubting I can find one cheaper than the one above. Since I just need web browsing and audio playing, there doesn't have to be much to it.

Well if it must have Touch Screen that would be the best one you can get for that price. Most of the touch screen computers cost 600+ now. Also another thing you could do is wait until this fall and see if any new ones come out due to school starting back up and when the new Windows comes out. You might be able to find some of them on clearence. But really for non Touch screen ones you could get one lot powerful around that price. Also anothing thing is its also going to be hard to find one that has Windows 7 on it. Also check Walmart and see if they have any clearence ones.

I keep saying it, but again, I appreciate the responses. It comes with Win 7 Home Premium, and the touch screen feature was important because of where it is placed. I think it will work good for my needs. For the price, if it's a bust, it won't be a horrible thing, but it has good reviews so I'm hopeful.
I have to ask. You said this fall when the Windows comes out. Did I miss something? I thought 8 was already out.

Microsoft calling it a new windows but really its a big paid update to Windows 8. They call it Windows 8.1 (Blue). Adds a start button back and smaller tiles and more customizations and will run older windows programs better. A preview is going to be out next month sometime.

Sorry for that late reply but I didn't even realize the computer that I posted wasn't a touch screen. Yeah the one you chose is probably gonna be the cheapest one you can find, price wise at least. I actually saw an advertisement for one on my computer today at work so they must be popular.

Anyways as nckfrtg28 has already mentioned, it might be better to wait until computers go on sale. Unless you need it now and in that case the price they are asking for that computer is very fair.

Even though they are coming out with Windows 8.1 I would still recommend Windows 7. I Don't think adding a Start button or making it more customizable is going to fix it. Too each their own of course, but then again we are on a Windows 7 Forums.

Really a paid update?! I thought / figured that it would be free for Windows 8 users...
