Building a Gaming PC, is this good?

But would the stock frequency of the i7-4670k perform better than an overclocked i5-3570k to 4.5GHz?

Yeah, and for this reason, I recommend waiting for several months for Haswell to mature. Intel will surely take notice and release a fixed version that overclocks more normally. So, I'd say that Sandy and Ivy Bridge CPUs are still the best Intel CPUs to purchase right now.

So I should pick an i5-3570k overclocked to 4.5GHz confronted by the i5-4670k which would be non-overclockable? Sorry for my lack of knowledge on hardware.

No, the new Haswell chips will run about 5-10% better than Ivy Bridge, clock for clock. That is to say the 3570k and 4670k, running at exactly the same frequency, will have about a 5-10% difference in benchmarks.

Also, I heard they should be easier to OC Paul, but I'd not seen anybody with a retail chip trying yet. I made my mind up when I built this rig that I'm not upgrading until there is new technology out....DDR4, SATA Express or better.

I think we are getting things twisted and complicated lol. If I were building a system right now, I would go with the Intel i5-3570K.......I've read that the new chips OC even better than the early ones.

Up to you. I built an Ivy Bridge PC as soon as the parts were released and was lucky to get a good CPU that OC'd like a champ. I have not read anything solid about Haswell OC'ing, but I just learned in this thread they may be limited.

Anymore improvements you fellas could give or is this build the best of the best for the moment? Note: GTX 660 Ti will be replaced with a GTX 760 Ti as soon as it's out.
