Windows 7: Multiple audio playing devices, playing the same sound at once

Multiple audio playing devices, playing the same sound at once

I've been stuggling with this for a few hours now and am at the end of my wits..

I've got two audio devices that I would like to link to my PC at once.
I've got one plug connected to the back panel, and one to the front. But one always cuts off the other. In my sound devices, the system registers them both as: "speakers, VIA High Definition Audio, Standard device"

Is there any way that I can connect them both at once, and still have both of them outputting audio?

I hope the internet will save the day!

Many thanks in advance!

If you use realtek,

Otherwise You're pretty much screwed, only other way is to use Virtual audio cable, but you'd have to set it up every time you booted (and it costs 20$)

I don't know about the rear mic and line in jacks, but you may be able to connect one to the Line In and another to the Mic in and be able to hear or record both. You would need to have the Stereo Mix (may be called System Mixer) as the default recording device in order to hear both inputs.

You could use a "Y" cable and connect both to the same port. And, you could even go further, if they are not stereo (2 channel) signals. The Line In is a stereo input, with a splitter type cable you could connect one input to one channel and the other input to the other channel.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I ended up with putting one of the jacks into a 'side speaker' enrty and configuring my PC to four channels in the 'VIA HD Audio Deck'. I then checked the 'Speaker Fill' option and it worked!

Thanks alot!
