How can I check what display I am running on my windows 7 notebook?

    Hi all,

I have suspicion that acer china support has stolen parts out of my Aspire 5742. I went to the offical acer service center in my city. I got their location and adress after contacting acer by phone.

All they had to do was reinstall a corrupt operating system, I tried it myself a couple of times and did not work so asked the official support for help. They told me to go to this location in my city. I went there and now I have my computer back. The operating system has been reinstalled correctly, but there are lots of weird things going on with my computer. I have serious suspicion that they have exchanged some parts in my computer. What can I do about this? How can I check if I am running original parts for my system?

I especially want to know if I still have the same screen.

    My aspire 5742 has a 15.6" HD 1366 x 768, High-Brightness Acer Cine Crystal™ LED-backlit TFT LCD

How can I check if this is still the case? I have the impression they exchanged it with another screen.

Hi there ..... I doubt very much that they would have changed your screen ..... What makes you think they have ?

There is a program called Speccy .... Download it ..... It will give you your System Information

Could you tell what are these strange behaviours? We might be able to help you solve them yourself.
