    Just a simple question about internal laptop webcams.


    A friend of mine and I are in an argument right now as to weather or not internal laptop webcams are listed as usb cameras, I say they are not he says they are, can anyone clear this up for us?

    Don't have a camera so I can't test but you should be able to go to Device Manager and see what it is listed under.

    Yes and now governments can remotely turn that camera on and listen in and watch you .....so beware or at least brush you r teeth and smile!

    The patch has been out for a while which fixes this problem

    Depends. On my Win 8 Lenovo Laptop its listed as a Lenovo Easy Camera. The drivers are unique and don't use the USB bus.
