PC Crashes when switching HDMI inputs on TV monitor
Hi,
I've encountered a problem in that my Acer desktop PC with windows 7 Home Premium, which I'm using as an HTPC (i.e. or Home Entertainment PC), crashes when I switch between the two HDMI inputs on my Toshiba 32" LCD TV.
Note that when I switch to another non-HDMI input on the TV e.g. Antenna or a composite input and then switch back to the computer there's no problem.
What's changed is that I recently setup an Apple TV 3 on the second HDMI input and whenever I switch to that input it will cause my PC i.e. on the other HDMI input of the TV to crash. It seems that either the driver or the Windows OS doesn't like it when this happens.
I tried changing the resolution to match that being used by the ATV3 i.e. 1080p at 60 Hz but that didn't help.
Has anyone had a similar problem and if so how did you solve it?
Regards,
Charles
