I followed the link off the last post you made.

Basically had to go into registry. First find the "device class guid" which I guess is a way of identifying certain hardware drivers. Once in registry I navigated to the class guid for USB related issues and simply deleted the LowerFilters section. A simple reboot then resolved all the problems.

I think Windows was bypassing the drivers I was installing or something, or working from disabled drivers. This apparently fixed the problem as there are now loads more options under USB controllers in the device manager

Glad your issue has been fixed . Is your device manager clean without the symbol

No yellow arrows of doom at all.. I was seriously wondering if I would be able to fix that issue haha, definitely the longest and most frustrating fix I've had in a while!!

Hopefully everyone with this issue will be able to benefit from our process of elimination!

If you would like you do a step by step on what you did to fix your issue in the registry

Yeah I can do that!

Most of the stuff was off that guide anyways but I can cover the other steps. Should I just post on here or is there a place to do that?
