    Are there any Windows laptops with a "Mag Safe" power connector?


    I badly need a new Windows laptop but I would really like a Mag Safe type power connector - so that a bit too much pressure accidentally applied to the external part of the power connector will not break the motherboard, and yes this is the voice of experience speaking! I am aware of the MS Surface Pro but I'm looking for alternatives. And running Windows on an Apple machine is not an option. (I know that it works. It's just not an option for me.)

    I think that it is an Apple proprietary design, and it looks as though they have already had legal run ins with it: Apple sued over reputed fire hazard of MagSafe power adapter | Ars Technica
