    Check that cables aren't being squeezed/bent. I had laptops doing stuff like that when the LCD-mobo cable was squeezed/bent in a certain way. (that is, try running it disassembled)

    Yes indeed I have tested it disassembled. I can only believe that the LED/Lcd has a common fault. I even tried a different power source and different adapter thinking it could be a low voltage to the display issue as the external display has it's own power source. but alas not happening. I will see if I can RMA one more time with this different company. I'll keep you posted.
