did you look at the event log? I suppose it is referring to Event Viewer (writhe it in the searchbox in the start menu)

As it is, it is saying that it hanged for some reason and killed the task after it waited the set time. And tells you to check the event log for more info

Hum I don't know Bob as I don't really understand what the entries mean for the most part but it seems to be around that Bitlocker stuff as that was the time it happened and it was also mentioned in the logs but you would know more than me I ma more hardware orientated.

To be honest Bob I have no idea why it is even mentioned as I only ever run home premium and I thought it was an Ultimate feature??

Times are squared when this happened.

The difference between Home and Ultimate is in configuration files, all the OS files are the same.
This thread seems to have more info and possible fixes of the issue, if your bitlocker errors are the same.
It is either a run full checkdisk on all drives or a mountvol /r after you backed up the
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices registry folder.

I also have the suspect that disabling the service about drive encryption/bitlocker should do the trick as well.

Ok Bob I'll run the chkdsk and see if anything comes up and then if things are still bad then I'll try that other stuff.:)
