    BIOSTAR AND ASROCK reviews/knowledge

    Hello all,

I've been offered some BIOSTAR and ASROCK motherboards by a new supplier. I’m a massive GIGABYTE fan and all my Intel builds work around the gigabyte motherboards but I am tempted to use these on my new AMD builds mainly due to pricing.

Does anyone has any knowledge or reviews on these products:

    ASRock FM2A75M-DGS - FM2 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - £41

    Biostar HiFi A75S3 - FM2 Trinity Micro ATX Motherboard SATA3+Raid - £43

    What they are up against
    GigabyteF2A85XM-HD3 AMD Socket FM2 Motherboard - £55 :)

    All comments welcomed.

    Thanks :)

No experience with those particular mobo's but I do have a BioStar running a AMD 64 doing double duty as a home theater and internet access machine. Runs XP OK, no problems with the chip sets or bios, six plus years of daily use.

What I read online is BioStar is a good entry level, cost effective product.

I have an ASRock Z77 Professional board. Great board and features. It is a big step ahead of the Biostar boards that I saw.

I can only go by past experience with the brands mentioned, so take it for what it's worth: 0

Biostar: much better than I expected.
    ASRock. rep for reliability undeserved.

I've never used Biostar but I do have a P67 Asrock board and have had since the B3 version came out. It is stable as a rock and runs very well. I'm using it as a home server right now and is doing well.
