    Hi darkhorse,

    1. What is the make , model number and the capacity of the hard drive you have now connected externally?

    2. What is the reason for removing it from the DVB-T2 receiver? Why not a new HDD for your laptop if its HDD has to be replaced?

3.Why do you want to put it in the laptop or what is wrong with it? What laptop (make, model)? What OS came with it?

    4. Do you just want to format the hard drive or you want to recover the data from it first and then format? Please be specific.

    5. Do you have the recovery disks to reinstall the OS on a replaced HDD? If not how do you propose to install the OS in it?

A point by point answer to the above can put your problem in the right perspective. Help us to help you.
