    The Need For Touchpads!?!?

I've been discussing this a million times.... No one really knows the true answers to this issue.... Been thinking to try here.... Why do manufacturers include touchpads on touchscreen laptops? I just don't get it! Have a nice day ;-)

First thing that comes to my mind is that not all programs are touch friendly

Not only that but a touch screen doesn't have the fine resolution for selecting and pointing that a mouse or touchpad has.

To me, a better question is, why do manufacturers make laptops with touchscreens? I don't get that as touch screens are nothing but an expensive gimmick as far as I'm concerned.

    Choice.
Some people prefer one or the other.
I never did understand why anybody would want to look at a touch screen full of finger prints.
