    Windows 7 Black screen

ok so this is for my other laptop (toshiba which runs windows 7 32 bit)... it's also the one i tend to like more than this laptop, which is my brother's.. ANYWAY!! When i boot up the laptop (which is a toshiba laptop that runs windows 7), the screen stays black (absolutely nothing on it) and sometimes the screen just stays off. I boot the laptop up with a USB which has the files to restore the laptop to factory settings, luckily it boots up showing the TOSHIBA logo. i press F12 to boot from usb, it boots, gives me options to restore factory setting, press restore, done. BUT, in the middle of the restoration, the screen goes black (blank) again! it always does this! ive never did anything wrong to the laptop, all i wanted to do was to restore it to factory settings! this happened for about 1.3 weeks now! i need help ASAP

What happens when you remove the battery hold the power button down for 10secs and then insert the battery and turn on the laptop . You could also try removing the battery and just use the power cord .

Are you using the laptop on battery or using the AC adapter ?

If you shut down the laptop place the battery back in does it turn on ? If not replace the battery .

oooh shoot.... the screen wont turn on again, even with the usb in its slot. i have 3 usb slots, tried to boot the laptop up by putting the usb in all slots after a restart, and now it wont turn on now... i was so excited to use my beloved laptop, it was running well, but this incident started all over again when i tried to download an internet browser (opera)... black blank screen. my life is ruined literally... ohh boy nvm this problem isnt solved.. even with the battery removed or not, it still wont work..
