I understand your confusion now. I'm also confused.
Your could check the Asus motherboard forum and see if their is a way to use all 4 sataIII ports at the same time.
I called Asus again, and spoke to a rep that previously helped me.
There are 4 6gb ports, but the other 2 are external, which I am using for my external hdds.
Thanks again for all the good advice from all who replied.:)

There technically are 4 SATA III 6Gbps ports.....but only 2 INTEL 6Gbps ports. The others should only be used for emergencies.
Or storage and optical drives where speed isn't as important.
You could do that, IF you have hard drives using up the Intel ports. I would keep everything off the 3rd party chipset ports and disable them to be honest. I've got mine disabled currently. I would rather get a RAID card for more SATA ports than use the ones on boards today lol.

Hello,
I recently bought a MSI 4G GeForce GTX 960 4GB 128-Bit GDDR5 video card but it is not compatible with my actual motherboard (M3970AM-HP - Angelica) because the BIOS version does not support this type of graphic cards.
I would like to know for sure if the GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 (rev....

Hey, I have my old custom pc I built many many years ago. It has an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU, the mobo is an Abit K8T-NEO and the rest don't matter for my question.
I looked on the Asus site and it does say that my Athlon would be compatible in my Asus M3A32 MVP Deluxe WiFi mobo (which is what I...
I had noticed in my bios a setting that allows "plug and play OS" and is currently set to (no) would turning this option to the (on) setting be beneficial too windows 7 ?
