Repeated attempts to "Eject" my ultrabay HD

    Ok, I decided to get a bit more creative w/ my Googling. Looks like it might be a hardware problem.

    I'm going to try out the recommended solution (update the RST - Rapid Storage Technology Driver), and will update the status if that does the trick. OR, it might just be a known issue w/ the hardware.

    Your pop up in the desktop must be a Lenovo thing.

    Yes your right seems to be a Lenovo problem .. I used to have the same problem until i decided to drop the bloatware and went for a Clean Install .. I think it has more to do with the Lenovo Power Management as it would only try to disable the Drive when not charging

    Yep, it was a Hardware thing. I installed the newest Intel driver for Rapid Storage Technology 24hrs ago:

    Haven't seen the pop-up since.
