"Format Not Supported by this Device." Error

I'm using a Razer Tiamat 2.2, and I changed my mic quality to Studio to record a audio clip, but I normally use CD Quality to do VoIP like Skype, Teamspeak, etc because it has the extra enhancement features to disable echo, etc.

I went to change it back to CD Format and now It tells me that the format is not supported by this device, even though I have been using that format for many many months with no problem. Any suggestions or help?

Machine is Windows 7 64bit by the way.
Realtek sound driver, MSI Z77G-43A Mobo I believe.

My guess is something is running and taking control of the hardware, not allowing you to change it.

Where/what is where you changed the quality to studio? [that detail was left out]

Rebooted and still won't allow it?
