Disk Mgt problem: HD found in Win7-32x not found in Win7-64x
I have a PC with several internal hard disks. On one is installed Win7-32x, on another is installed Win7-64x. When I boot into Win7-32x I have access to four hard disks. Attachment 1 shows the Disk Management screen there. However, when I boot into Win7-64x, I only have access to three hard disks. When I start up Disk Management, I get a window saying "You must initialize a disk before Logical Disk Manager can access it." See Attachment 2. And when I click Cancel to close the window, I see what's found in Attachment 3.
How do I let Win7-64x know that Disk 1 is already initialized and usable? There is good data on it and I'm hopeful I don't have to screw around reformatting and then restoring from the backup. Harvey |

Hello and welcome maddaze if I read this as is you have both OS's on two separate drives?
If so are you disconnecting one to boot from the other or setting the BIOS to boot from a particular drive. Now I am just assuming that if you boot into the 64bit drive it may not "see" the 32bit drive or "see" it as something alien? It begs the question why do you need both the 32bit and 64bit on one machine?? PS Some system specs would be real good too mate for us to see. Get Speccy and post some shots / details.
