    Big big big USB problem

OK here's the problem. I use 2 usb drive WD pasport and on vista evrything was working just fine. But when I switched to 7 I got a big problem. When I try to put somme stuff in them its start working and transfering but after like 10 sec you see the bar is still working but there is no progress and nothing to tell you that it failed. If y press cancel nothing appen and the transfert still try to be done. I have to unplug my usb drive and shut down explorer.exe to stop it. And when I replug my hardrive it wont reconise until I reboot my computer. And ever since I used 7 I cant sync my ipodtouch enymore too. "The device time as expire" that the message. And same problem I unplug, I plug and poooof not reconise enymore. All my drivers are up to date and all the patches as been made.

Yep mobo drivers, and something is preventing itunes from sync'ing.

You might want to run a system file checker. that checks the system files and repairs them if necessary.

to run type this in search. cmd>right click and run as admin> sfc /scannow

    Let us know the results

You say all your drivers are up to date. Yet we can't check on what's what until you fill in your system specs in your user CP at the top of the page>then edit system specs. Thanks and welcomre to sevenforums. (Snips curtiousy Antman)

    Chipset drivers?

Here are the latest for your 630i/7100 board:

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.49 WHQL

    These are for Win7 X86 (32 bit).

    Good luck.

Had similar problems with external USB hard drives and found a combination of the following would SOMETIMES help:
    1) Connect the hard drive to a port on the machine iteslf, not to a hub (even a powered hub). Best case, a port on the back of the case. Sometimes, hubs (and even front ports) don't provide enough power for hard drives.
    2) Check your USB settings, and once you've confirmed that the ports to which you're connecting the drives are all USB 2.0, change the BIOS setting to disable USB legacy support.
