    Windows 7 install, new SSD

    Hi everyone,

I have been slaving over the forums for an answer but can't find it, so I'll ask it.

I have a desktop and laptop both running windows 7 professional. I want to buy the windows 7 family pack, the one that comes with 3 licence keys so do a fresh install on both and upgrade to windows 8.

The laptop is easy as I'm just clearing the old OS and replacing with new, but the desktop I have a new ssd that I want to put it on, but I see from reading other pages I might have issues.

Please respond, or point me to another thread........

    Cheers.

stecam mate I just upgraded my existing 7 with 8 on my laptop and Sandy Bridge desky and with the Stardock8 and Classic shell start up menus it is just like 7 only quicker.

Doing it this way I carried over my 7 setting so I didn't have to just about reinstall everything again.

But the choice is yours I guess just depends on whether you want something 7 like or that awful metro stuff.

PS all my machines have SSD's
