You would do fine with a 256GB SSD. The OS will only take up about 20GB with drivers and updates and games only benefit from being on an SSD when it comes to loading times, NOT during gameplay. You can have every program/application you use installed on an SSD and not make a dent in it. I have Win 7, all programs and 3 full games loaded on my SSD and am using less than half of my 128GB drive. I think you could be comfortable with a 256GB drive. You just need to remap or redirect your Users folder to a mechanical hard drive because pictures, videos, documents, etc don't benefit from being on an SSD at all.
what is the cheapest a 256 and 400 somthing or 512gb drive can be had for , i might considerd going with one of em ....
Here is the new line of SSD's from Samsung.
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
Samsung 840 EVO 500GB
Samsung 840 EVO 750GB
Samsung 840 EVO 1TB
hmm yea konw that 1tb is mighty tempting , will they ship overseas and is that the cheapest ?
That's probably the cheapest 1TB drive, and I don't know if you can get it in your location from a semi-local place. What I'm saying is, you don't NEED a 1TB C: drive. You would be fine with a smaller SSD for your OS/programs, and a hard drive for your user data.
