Intellipoint Keyboard software won't install because New mouse softwar

    Ok I have a Microsoft Wireless Natural Multi-media Keyboard & wireless Multi-button mouse & I love it.

I've had it for years & it comes with it's own software called Intellipoint Keyboard/Mouse.

But I've upgraded the mouse to their new blue laser Explorer mouse & love that. But they have not come out with a new updated wireless Natural Multi-media keyboard (to my knowledge anyways)

Everything was fine until i did a recent windows update & it updated the mouse & keyboard software & it only sees my mouse, no longer my keyboard & even though my keyboard is still working, all of my Hot Multi-media keys no longer work.

I tried installing the original Intellipoint Keyboard cd but during installation it says that this program is blocked.

What can I do to get my multi media keys working again?

    Thanks.

I've had this software installed before I just did the update. I really hope to get the hot keys working again.

I may consider switching to the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard & Mouse 7000, but I don't think the mouse is a Blutrac mouse (which I think are better) but may still upgrade anyways.

I just love wireless ergonomic keyboards.

I had a problem with the Microsoft keyboard and mouse center once but I'm buggered if I can remember what it was. What I'd do is unsinstall the Intellipoint stuff then download the drivers for the specific keyboard first (the model number is usually on the underside) then install the mouse drivers. That's how I ended up getting round it.

Hmm ok, I'll try that out when I get a chance.

    Thanks.
