That's your research to do as local craiglist and such will drive your market. I would look to donate and take a tax deduction as I suspect it's not worth much.

i have a laptop lenovo it shows 4 cores in taskmanager but in cpuz it shows 2 cores i've been reading that cpuz detects the wrong number of cores sometimes. i went into msconfig and selected 4 cores since that was the maximum restarted computer that didn't work

    la321,
What's your question here? Sounds like a new thread should be started?

Both CPU-Z and Task Manager are reporting correctly. CPU-Z reports the actual physical cores on the CPU, in your case 2. If the CPU is capable of hyper-threading (i.e. each core can act as 2 virtual cores), then Task Manager will report as 4 cores.

To verify this, what does CPU-Z report as the model number of the CPU?

i was reading on tomshardware some people had an eight core processor cpu-z detected 4 cores taskmanager reported 8 they had to change some settings so cpuz could detect the 8 cores it was the same for someone with 2 cores cpuz was detecting 1 when they have a 2 core processor i read that cpu-z sometimes detects wrong information then after they changed some settings cpu-z detected 8 cores along with taskmanager i have i5 2450

Here you go: ARK | Intel® Core)

Note the # of Cores and # of Threads showing 2 and 4 respectively.
