The i5-3470 plus the HD7750 will.
How many cores does the i5-3470 have?
Four that smoke the six in that AMD unless you push the AMD 6 to a 8 core and even then the i5 more than holds its own. This from a huge AMD supporter and user. You shouldn't have any problems getting a 8 core for 200.00 usd.

So the amd fx-8350 and intel i5-3470 are about the same?
No just doing the stuff i mentioned but that wouldn't take up the 4 cores in i5-3470 right?
With the i5-3470 the cooler wouldn't be needed? i'm also going to stick with the 8gb i have 7gb i can always install more ram if needed so the only thing needed is the motherboard DDR3 and L3 cache harddrive 1tb or 2tb and graphics card which hd 7750 is it? i see different ones when searching my computer shop also offers payment plans

Not so fast la321,
To my knowledge you're currently using 7gb's of DDR2? The new mobo for either the i5 or AMD FX must use DDR3 so you can't swap and will have to purchase matched pairs. I would look towards (2) 8gb modules of 1866mhz via GSkill or faster even like 2133mhz.
The DDR2 is being upgraded to DDR3 the L2 to L3 so i would be able to get more ram if i ever need it in the future i looked up the HD 7750 different ones show up which is the right one?
Brand to brand they will be more the same than different. If you go with a ASUS mobo then look to a ASUS GPU maybe? Many popular brands and I love my XFX 7870....it's crazy good and I highly recommend it. It's sexy too......
