Do you have Windows configured to update device drivers?
If not, you could try setting it to update device drivers and then check for Windows Updates.

Is it front USB ports that aren't working by any chance? I've a feeling it may your midboard drivers you need.

Yes windows is configured to update all drivers... this only came up when i plugged my ipod in the front of the case...yet my ipod works fine on the pc..and as far as i can see the driver for my ipod is installed and working fine...I'm wondering if its the sound jacks on the front as I'm only using the one at the back...green on for my speakers...but I plugged my earphones in yesterday and they wouldn't work..so i plug them direct into my speakers and they work fine...

I also plugged my external HD in and that works fine too...

    Hi CityLady,
In post #1 you said you also had a problem with the SM Bus Controller.
You haven't mentioned that issue since post #1 and screen prints since then don't show this error.
Did this issue get fixed since you started this thread?

I have finally worked out why it had a yellow exclamation mark.. I had to go into bios and uninstall a driver that was bad..I then did windows update and it found a driver that solved the issue..

This thread had now been solved..

thank you for all your help on this.

    regards

    Hazel
